Itsenäisyyspäivänä on jo jonkin aikaa nähty natsien ynnä muiden taantumuksellisten yhteisiä marsseja ja muita tapahtumia, mihin on vastattu joka vuosi fasismia vastustavalla mielenosoituksella. Tänä vuonna natsit ja muut taantumukselliset olivat aikeissa marssia vain Suomi Herää -nimen alla 612-soihtukulkueen peruunnuttua. Kertaalleen jo Tampereelle siirretty itsenäisyyspäivän marssi kuitenkin peruuntui tyystin epidemian kiihtyessä ja koronarajoitusten kiristyessä myös Tampereella. 

Tämä tarkoittaa sitä, että natseilla ja heidän ystävillään ei tämän vuoden itsenäisyyspäivänä ole virallista marssia. Taantumukselliset joutuvat tyytymään puhujien seuraamiseen etänä. Ei pidä kuitenkaan heitä liikaa sääliä, tämän kuoppansa he kaivoivat itselleen, ja osa heistä varmasti mieluummin kuleksii kaupungilla, minkä varalta kannattaa pitää silmänsä auki.

Punainen blokki ei kokoonnu, ei Helsingissä eikä Tampereella, mutta natseja ja taantumusta vastaan järjestäytyminen ei voi jäädä tähän. Ne samat yhteiskunnalliset kehitykset, jotka nostattavat rasismia, eivät seisahdu siihen, että natsit tällä kertaa päättivät noudattaa viranomaisten määräyksiä. Epätoivoon ajettu pikkuporvaristo, josta fasismin joukot rakentuvat, jatkaa jauhautumistaan jo haisemaan alkaneen kapitalismin ja porvarivallan alla. Porvarillinen valtio ja sen poliisi eivät fasismia tule pysäyttämään sen enempää kuin koronarajoitusten tuoma ”välivuosi” itsenäisyyspäivän marsseihin. 

Suomalaisia ja eurooppalaisia yleensä hiljalleen koulutetaan hyväksymään kiihtyvää ja julmistuvaa porvarillista sovinismia, joka on sulkenut Suomen ja Euroopan rajat turvapaikanhakijoille; joka on Tanskassa, Ranskassa ja muualla rajaamassa muslimeja apartheidin hengessä yhteiskunnan marginaaliin; ja niin edelleen. Ennen fasismin nousua, liberaalit porvarit valmistelevat tien. Fasismi täydellistää porvarillisen julmuuden ja lyö pääoman vihollisia, kun yksi tai useampi monista kriiseistä vihdoinkin ajaa porvariston tarpeeksi suureen ahdinkoon, kun tavalliset hallitsemisen keinot eivät enää riitä: silloin fasistit siirretään poliisin suojeluksesta valtiovallan käyttäjiksi.

Vain porvarivallan ja kapitalismin kaataminen ja työväenvalta voivat lopullisesti lyödä fasismin. Tällaista lahjaa ei tipu taivaista, eikä se viranomaisen määräyksellä toteudu, vaan sen vuoksi on itse taisteltava, työläisen, jokaisen riistetyn ja sorretun. Ensi vuoden itsenäisyyspäiväksi voimme järjestäytyä esimerkiksi ammattiliittoihin, joiden osastojen järjestäminen marssimaan natseja ja taantumusta vastaan olisi merkittävä saavutus toistaiseksi hiljaisessa Suomessa.

The reactionaries have canceled their once moved event, counter protest will not take place

For some time now, Independence Day has seen joint marches and other events between the Nazis and other reactionaries, which have been met every year with an anti-fascist demonstration. This year, the Nazis and other reactionaries were about to march under the name ”Suomi Herää” after the 612 torch procession was canceled. However, this Independence Day march that had already been relocated to Tampere, was completely canceled as the epidemic accelerated and corona restrictions tightened in Tampere as well.

This means that the Nazis and their friends will not have an official march on this year’s Independence Day. The reactionaries will have to settle for watching speakers online. However, don’t feel too sorry for them, they dug this pit for themselves, and some of them will certainly prefer to walk around town, and we should keep our eyes open for that.

The Red Bloc will not convene, neither in Helsinki nor in Tampere, but organizing against the Nazis and reaction cannot stop here. The same social developments, that are raising up racism, will not end with the Nazis deciding to follow the orders of the authorities this time. The desperate petty bourgeoisie, from which the fascist forces are built, is continously being ground up under capitalism and bourgeoisie power, social structures that are already starting to stink. The bourgeois state and its police will not stop fascism, no more than this “gap year” brought by corona restrictions to the Independence Day marches.

Finns and Europeans in general are slowly being trained to accept the accelerating and cruel bourgeois chauvinism that has closed the borders of Finland and Europe to asylum seekers; which in Denmark, France and elsewhere is ruling out Muslims in the spirit of apartheid into the margins of society; and so on. Before the rise of fascism, the liberal bourgeoisie is preparing the way. Fascism completes bourgeois cruelty and strikes enemies of capital, when one or more of the many crises finally puts the bourgeoisie in enough trouble, when the usual means of control are no longer enough: then fascists are transferred from police protection to operators of state power.

Only the overthrow of bourgeoisie power and capitalism and the institution of workers power can finally defeat fascism. Such a gift will not drop from the heavens, and will not realized by an order from the authorities, and must therefore be fought for by the worker, every deprived and oppressed by themselves. By next year’s Independence Day, we can get organized, for example, in trade unions. The organization of union locals to march against the Nazis and the recession would be a significant achievement in Finland, which has so far been quiet.
